Another Star Ship

A strange and sometimes wonderful thing, this internet:

You can work alongside a person for years, yet the only window you are offered to this person is what they say. Here, there is a more immediate window into what they think. And it is in thought that we are who we truly are! :thumbsup

I was spoiled in my youth by the words of Captain Kirk: "It's been my experience that the prejudices people have towards each other tend to disappear when they get to know each other."

I challenge anyone to speak truer words than those...they really are true! :thumbsup

I agree.
Internet has a curious effect. I often found myself speaking my true thinking very casually. I feel like there is no distanse between us.
I feel like talking the person in a next door.

the only disappointing thing is that once this is over, we'll have to wait an indefinite amount of time till you start the next project and that will be difficult ;_;

I have a half dozen of idea for the next project.
And you do too. Let's build!:lol

This is such an INSPIRING project . . . I can picture how awesome this is going to look on display when you finally finish it.

That being said ... nearing completion (and finally completing this project) is almost bittersweet, isn't it? I mean, the journey is such a creative and FUN experience that when you finally finish it, it's like coming home from an awesome vacation - you know, you look forward to it for weeks/months ... relish in the enjoyment of the experience itself ... and then, when it's over, there's the "post-project depression" period.

(I know, I know . . . "depression" is FAR too strong a word ... just seemed to fit the whole metaphor I was going for, ya know? :cool )

Of course ... there's always the NEXT project to look forward to, right? :D

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!! - and THANK YOU for the inspiration.

Amazing work Katsu!!!!!!! I'm so glad I found this web site!!!!!! There's so many talented people here. It's going to take me a long time to go through the builds taking place here.

When I read your title "Another Star Ship," I thought it was something from Star Trek. WOW was I surprised in a wonderful way!!!!!

Let's call it a day!

No big progress but thanks for looking.

Have you decided on a color scheme, yet? I don't know why, but as I was looking at your panel lines I started to imagine wood panels... I know that wouldn't work in space, but it was a neat idea. I love old ships, with their wooden decks and panels, and some ships, that have metal hulls, but wooden decks, like the Titanic are very majestic. I don't have photo-shop, so my idea is lost... :( It looks great, Katsu-san.

Wow ho ho!
You've got my idea.
Yes, you right. I will paint her with some brownish color like a wooden log house or a brown stone building. Some gold and brass and bronze. :lol:thumbsup

Arigatou!

Absolutely beautiful.

The surface detail adds so much depth and scale to this epic build, beautiful my friend.
Like Cadeus i am also very interested to see your colour scheme.

It will be tricky to get a good balance. To dark and you may loose some of the detail and the sense of scale you have created.

You got a point as you always do, Gag-san.
The simple off white will be the best color to express the scale.
But it's nothing fun.

I'm thinking something near like this.

How do you think?

Just gets better and better! Amazing job!

Thank you, Sofaking-san. There are some more parts to consider about.
I hope I can make it.

May she fly straight and steady for hundreds of years!

Thank you for a blessing from you, NMR-san

Or maybe 5? By then we'll be ready for the re-fit! :)
Then we need the hyper sleep tubes.:lol

I keep thinking there are no more details to add and then you do add some and it keeps looking better every time. Great additions Katsu-san.

Thank you Randy-san.
Every time I add something, I think "OK that's it!! I can go paint" And I hit the primer. And when the primer drys, I find another part I should take
care of:sick I need to learn 'Planning'!

That ultima tower is nuts! I wouldn't want to be in it during an earth-quake...

:lolYou can say that!
