So, my girlfriend was feeling left out of all the cosplay building fun, so I guess we'll be doing a side by side build for next year. This is the quick mock up I made for her batgirl that will appear alongside red hood. I figure we'll just use this one topic for both builds

The helmet cost me, well, lets say, a lot. Like take what you'd spend on a prefabbed bucket, and multiply that by maybe 5. But, I gotta say, its worth it!

Just notice the eyes level looks perfectly fall on yours, have you adding form/padding on top head?

No I have not! The helmet is as snug as a bug in a rug, which is perfect. I might have to add padding when on the casts though, since the master had those struts on the inside

Acutally, the helmet i'm going to using is a custom design created by myself and skylu3design.
Unfortunately, I wont be at dragon con, its a bit of a schlep from Los Angeles to get there...

I did a little more work on the rest of the suit today, since im still working up the nerve to start casting the helmet. Anyone in the LA area willing to lend me a hand? XD

Heres the armor test for the left arm. thoughts?

The fitting and shape of the arm armor is good. I especially like the gauntlet. I think the brands on the shoulders should be sanded away, and then painted black.

all the armor will be mat black by the time its finished. I'll also be removing the upper part of the shoulder armor, making it into bicep/tricep armor since the extra padding on the shoulder makes the entire suit look too wide.

They're from crisiswear, a shop on etsy. I should have them by the end of this week, i hope they fit well! they should also work well for my destiny warlock that i'm planning!

So I got the pants and the cowl from Crisiswear today. The pants fit perfectly, though I didn't expect them to be more long shorts then full length pants. I'll just wear some compression pants under them to cover the very small space between my boots and where the pants end. As for the cowl, I need to add a button to it to make it a bit less large around the neck. All in all I'm very happy with the new stuff. except the kidney belt, it seems large. I think I'll go back to the first one
