Another Red Hood... I know i know, just bear with me, ok?

Thanks chaos!

Ok, so I tried the entire suit on, plus the auxiliary gear from the MKI suit. I can't seem to find the gauntlets, but I'll track them down soon. The old kidney belt fits a lot better, so I'll be keeping that. I'm also starting to cut/sand my first attempt at a foam chest piece based off a batman redesign I saw on CGhub ages ago. It's not looking too bad so far, but I can seem to get the foam to sand flat on the dremel. I'm going to give it a pass with some sandpaper later...

Don't know if this has been asked or not, so please forgive me if it has been.
Will you be making the knife to go with the suit, and if so which version are you going to use?
I'm making the animated movie version, but I am making two to be held in dual shoulder holster under the coat.
Is this a stupid idea? Let me know. As I said I am trying to put my own twist on it, but I don't want to stray to far from the origin.

It actually hasn't been asked! I've got two small rubber training blades that i'm going to strap to my calves, and a large Tanto style knife that i've given a false edge, though I might end up casting that to avoid any problems with Con Security

This is looking ten times better than the first one already! Well done man Im really enjoying this design cant wait to see the finished product

Hello!! Forgive me for asking but where can I find those pants I can't find them anywhere more or less where to look

Check the Etsy shop Crisiswear. Heads up though: they are only 3/4 length pants (meaning they only come down to about halfway down your calves, kind of like capris).

I made a hunters knife from destiny yesterday to practice using pvc foamboard. Im thinking of finishing it up and using it for this. thoughts?

I'm actually going to start molding it sunday @sky. Im still super nervous about that though. I already plugged the eye holes up with clay though, so thats a start...

That chest piece is wicked. Would you mind post an instruction on how you made it?
Like I've said in the past I'm making my own Red Hood cosplay and I really like your design.
I always ask because some people get offended when others use their ideas.
Again great job on the chest and I always look forward to updates. Keep up the great work.

Sure thing hyrule!

1: create and cut the design. The chest piece in its current state is only two layers of PVC foamboard, kept together by grey putty

Step 2; prime the sucker. since i didnt have primer, gloss black paint was used. size test against a shiba for best resuts

Step 3; A better view of the seal shape of the chest. By now, the entire piece has had a heatgun treatment at the bottom corners, with the edges being rounded over a kneepad while warm

Step 4; Cut the gaps for the strapping in the buckle area, done with a dremel. took about 4 minutes total

Step 5; plot out the bat. I printed the design on cardstock and taped it down to the chest. From there, I used masking tape to outline the design onto the chest piece, and went ahead with painting

Thanks this really helps. As always keep up the great work and can't wait to see the final product.

I should of asked this a while back. Are you going to be using a jacket with this Red Hood? Or is it going to be like a combat scenario suit?
