Another Bond Question - Help Needed

Thanks for those who answered my last question about holsters / PPK. This one is slightly different...... Can anyone tell me where Bond 'keeps' his silencer? I assume someone here will either know from the film or may know as they have experience of firearms themselves.

Bond seems to just 'magic' it out of nothing. Is there an addaptor to his Galco holster to hold it (In TND he takes it from his left side, when sitting in his hotel room). Can anyone help?

I think it was just a pocket in Dr. No.

"Dr. No" was on a cable channel a couple of weeks back, and that is where Bond pulled the silencer from. Although the pistol he attached it to was a FN M1910, not a PPK.

Most movies and tv shows have people attaching silencers to weapons that they really wouldn't be able too. You would need the barrel to extend about 3/8, or a 1/2 inch past the slide for the silencer to attach too. The problem with that, is even if you have diplomatic immunity, a pistol with that feature would attract much unwanted attention. So, you would have a second weapon for that purpose. In the book "Dr. No", Bond was issued two pistols. A PPK for everyday wear, and a customized S&W .38 for 'business'.

David.
