Cleaned up the Tusken at the bottom of my Detolf and thought I'd take some current pictures of him since he's all dried out now since working on him.
I'm very happy with this guy!

I still was not happy with this guy! So I researched behind the scenes, screen, and any other photos I could find. I removed a cheek tusk and repositioned it & glued, blacked out the mesh eye inserts, added another layer of loose wraps and dyed them with a slightly different color, then tailored the original wraps around his face and chin. I think he looks much better! I had to have my Tusken looking right before I start building 5 new ones!

It’s certainly no Tie Pilot or TK lid, I’d guess 5-7lbs, It’s a pig!
I'm pretty sure this is the best Tusken I have seen so far, I think you can be happy with him

They say the original is wicked heavy as well, I never really thought of it until it was mentioned. But once you think about it it makes sense

Looks fantastic. Are those tusks resin or aluminum?
Also, does anyone know if Godzilla still offers these? Seeing the solid resin is nice, the kit I have is good but it's plastic. I'm worried about how sturdy it will be. I've also considered finding ways to reinforce it.
This whole thread has inspired me to dig in.
