ANH Stormtrooper Gloves

Does anyone know exactly what they were? I think we can all agree that they were rubber gloves of some type....but did they have a checked palm...like dishwashing gloves? Anyone have any HD ANH screen caps showing what they were?

There is no way you can see if the gloves have chequering in them or not in that pic. On my gloves with the chequering, it is so fine that is does not show up in hi-res pics, so maybe the screen used did have them or maybe they didn't :wacko

It is my understanding that they were chemical gloves. Ive never seen a shot close enough that would determine weather they were checkered or not though. I got my Chenical gloves at ACE Hardware and they were checkered.

I believe them to be black chemical gloves and that's what I put on my mannequin, they look superb. Never mind these ultra swish costuming leather gloves! - chemical gloves are the way to go for that accurate look

I dislike Caboots ST boots for the same reason. Chelsea boots whitened all the way.

I'd read/heard that they were British Military issue NBC gloves (chemical gloves if you prefer ). Back when I first joined up, the issue gloves did not have any grip or chequering on them at all, totally smooth. The later (and current) issue gloves now have grip pattern on them.

Grip pattern or not, they are still a TWAT to put on, even with the issue inner/liner glove! Thank the maker my days of "GAS GAS GAS!" are over!

They have something called Unique 'Safe Hold' grip pattern.

That could just be lighting. Shouldn't it be more of a steel color?
