ANH asymetric Stunt Stormtrooper Helmet WIP COMPLETE Pics Page 4 #84

I think i will go to buy a complete suit then...

building the helmet was fun, building a whole armour seems to me to be a pain in the a... without vacuum-table and stuff.

so i wait and see what to start next, maybe when the winter is over...

.

yeah, you're right about that, building an armor would be really hard if you don't have those things you mentioned...doing it manually would take a lot of time...

Hi Toxx! I just finished reading through your whole build and I must say that it is truly inspirational. I started to research on Pepakura and prop building in general a few weeks ago, and your project has helped me see what can really be done with such basic materials and a little love and care.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing what you work on next!

This is one of my favorite trooper helmets. Looks like it's on display in the SW museum as one of the actual stormtrooper helmets used in the film.

How did you make the HOVI's?

Thank your for this big compliment.

Bought from doopydoo's, there are resin recasts :rolleyes

I have thought to build my own from pipes, caps of markers and metal mesh.

But I wanted to see the thing finished :love

This, the rubber trim, the green gel filter and the foam petal are the only things bought on this helmet.

Someone has much fun! :D

It was really interesting to see where you started and where the helmet ended up.
Very nice work.
I will tackle weapons but helmets are way above my skill.

***** me Toxx, that is excellent!

I was considering a Stormtrooper helmet build recently. Would you be able to achieve similar results using foam instead by any chance? I've been looking at tutorial vids on YouTube and it definitely seems easier/less complex than the resin based assembly...

Cheers!

I don't know if foam will work on that complex curved form of an TK-Hemlet, i've no experience in foam builds.

Maybe you will try out and report your results to us?

Grüße, Toxx
