AndrewRF's Suit Build

Good see you are ticking along with this Scott
Hope your hand feels beeter soon
I see you used parts from the old Star Wars Falcon model kit, for the cannon base,...clever cookie

Success! Got the cannon base molded and a couple casts out of it. I made this because to me the arm alone mounted to a backpack looks wrong and incomplete. This way the cannon arm has something to mount to and gives it more surface area to connect to.

Also, got the Facehugger Dread ring mold issue resolved. Andrew wanted these for his suit so I finished them. I had otherwise pretty much shelved them.
Check the running thread on them. http://www.thehunterslair.com/index.php?sh...mp;#entry197161

Thanks for looking!

Yeah it came out clean. The arm is just sitting in the base without any adhesive. Good tight fit. Im happy with it.

Time to get back to work on this bad boy. Gathering all the emails and reference pics and cleaning up my workspace. Looks like a Predator bomb went off in there. lol.

So, ANdrewRf here we go man. Im gonna try and knock this out of the park for you. You were kind enough to let me finish my suit for SDCC ahead of yours. I cant thank you enough for that. Without your kind gesture I would have went suitless and missed out on one of the best times I have had there.

Also, after this suit I am done for awhile. I wont be building anymore suits for quit some time. I need a break and I also need and want to focus on other projects. I need a Pred break. 5 suits in three years and other projects has been a blast but, its good to change it up and do other things.

Waiting on a couple things and materials to come in. Got the skin tore apart. I thought the skin would fit him ok but, I didnt like the way it fit so, gonna do some pie cuts and bring it in so it fits him tighter. Going to use Elder-ones method on the zipper so, it worked out. Finally found the right zipper length and type about a week ago. Dremeled the bio out and cleaned it up. Just little things like that till the skin situation is resolved. The wrong lycra was delivered so, waiting on that so I can put it back on the dummy again. I may have to have surgery so, the issues with that have been sidetracking me a bit too.

See, when you take to long to finish a suit the Pred gods curse you. Was working on the gauntlets Monday and got stuck on something...my left hand. Stuck a 1" Xacto blade all the way into my hand. Up to the handle. Didnt think that was enough so I cut over about 1 1/2". It opened way up and now I feel like im running about a quart low. So kids remember...get those projects done and mind your sharp pointy things.
