Very quick print n' paint of the cute sidekick droid from the new Star Wars Andor series

Very simple design, just body and separate head, but you also get a 'closed up' version of the body too.

Looks amazing! Did you use a real lens on the eye? It looks like it has detail inside it.

Thanks - No the lens is just painted black and then a slightly broken ring of silver was applied by painting the end of a piece of styrene tube that was about 2/3 the diameter and pressing this onto the lens while the paint was still wet. Then the whole thing had a coat of translucent orange and a couple of coats to clear gloss to make it really shine. It actually came out way more effectively than I was hoping

This is great! I try to have at least one model from every Star Wars live action project (except Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker -- those never happened) and this would make a nice companion piece printed in scale with the Bandai droids.

I'm not sure what scale the stl is by default, it's not specified and I have no specs for the life size B2 - but I'd guess it's probably about 1/6th. So 50% would be around Bandai scale at 1/12th. I may print out the other closed version just to try.

I would love to have this guy to go with my Disney Store 6” scale die cast droids, since both that line and the Disney Store are now gone. I think 6” scale is just about 1/2 inch larger than 1/2th scale.

But alas, no printer in my possession.

Love this, but its best printed in resin I imagine. I hope Bandai produces a kit of this to go with their 1/12 droids.
