I've been wanting a comparison between Taylor's and DGP. Thank you for all the input and answers. Which fabric DGP or Taylor do you like better? I like how DGP is dark and useful for paint puff. But Taylor's is thicker and I would imagine thicker feels better?

Thats a good question. Until they are sewn up I really dont have a preference.
I have heard for stunts, cartwheels yay!, that sorta thing thinner is better.
I wouldnt let thickness be a selling factor though. They are both great prints.

Nick, please puff paint the suit before sewing. Way easier to handle. Trust me.

Yup, I'd agree, you will deffinately get a better finish if you do the painting before it's sewn. The only reason I didn't was because mine was already sewn when I got it.

I was afraid the puffy would get in the way of where the zippers would want to go
or some stitching.
Redtogusa would you recommend Puffying the mask ahead of time too?

Yup, do the whole thing first. If your worried about painting round the zips, seams etc just leave, say, a 5mm area around these parts unpainted and then you can paint them once it's been sewn.
That's how McLean did his, for example if you look at some of his early pics of his mask you can see he's left some of the webs unfinished where the seams were. He would've finished these off later.

I'm just losing my mind here.
My brain can't figure how a zipper from armpit to waist on each side will let someone in and out of it. I can't find pictures anywhere.

It take two zippers on from each armpit to the center waist where the pull meet to close. You end up with a kind of envelope flap opening to get into the suit. It works fine! Just a little difficult to get the zippers to take a 90 degree turn!lol

What did you do to get the straight black lines?

Learned to 'glide'. You get a much more steady line if you do a long sweeping movement with your hand rather than doing it in little bits. Also resting your little finger (holding the bottle as if your holding a pen) on the material whilst moving helps to keep your hand steady.....well it did for me anyway.

All good advice here. Redtogusa is right about the steady lines, I did the same on my print. I also leaned it very close to the print, keeping an eye on the line i was tracing. Take your time and it'll be fine.

Also I stretched mine enough so that the hexagon pattern became slighgtly bigger, thus easier to trace with the paint.

I dont think its going to pull a little on them before applying.
Not going to go crazy. Just kinda give them the slight normal wear pull.

I am using Slick as well. Many others also. You've done good.

And my hands are cramped from puffing.
And also a little cross eyed.

I "think" I'm working on the legs first.
Once I graduate and think I get the hang of things I'll go to the chest where I'm most excited. At first I layed a very sharp and clean honeycombs.
Then came back the next day and they sunk a awful lot. Which I was expecting but not that much. I still had a little shine.
Regardless I had to go all the way back re-apply.
After staring at it for a long time I decided I preferred the less sharp edged and pronounced honeycomb. Almost look like circles.
When ASM first came out I literally thought his costume was made from rubber, and that's now my goal.
I want to look like a spider basketball so I will keep the thicker honeycomb.

How are you going to do the spidey emblems Mercy? Are you going with silicone also or just regular paint puff? Was wondering if there's a easy to to add silicone for the front and back spidey emblems instead of puff paint.
