Hey Mercy any advice on what size to get for the asics? I've heard to get a smaller size than you normally wear, is that pretty correct?
 
Thanks, I was just about to order them only a 1/2 size smaller, glad I didn't. Have you attached yours yet? If so how did you go about it?
 
Sorry for the question but why the syran wrap? I've heard some things about using neoprene socks is it like the same kind of thing? Just to give it shape when you glue them?
 
So I dont get glue on my toesies silly.
I will form the shoes onto the suit this way. So the glue doesnt go through the suit.
Then take off the syran wrap.
Havent anything about neoprene socks. This is new to me.
 
I've heard they give the suit a really good boot shape but I'm not sure if you only wear tem when you attach the asics or every time you wear the suit.
 
Me, El Fett and a few others used a neoprene sock, permanently glued inside the suit to give the boot structure. The foot area tends to look a bit flat otherwise. Plus it helps a hell of a lot when attaching the asics.
 
So it's basically like you put the sock on and glue the bottom of the sock to the inside of the foot (of the suit) and then glue the asics on the bottom of the foot after that? Or did you permanently attach the sock another way?
 
You could do it that way sure but you'd risk having the glue come off the suit as you pulled the leg over it. I just put the sock in loose then when I glued the asics on, using hot glue, it went through the Lycra and bonded the whole thing together.
 
Yeah that was my main fear. I'm probably gonna do what you've said since it doesn't run the risk of glue smearing on stuff. Another stupid question, I'm guessing you didn't have your foot in the sock when you did this?
 
No I did. It gets a bit warm but its the easiest way. The glue won't soak through the neoprene so your safe.
I just stuck a couple blobs on the acics then stepped into it wearing the sock and the costume boot. After it dried I took my foot out and then glued the loose edges in place with more glue. Job done.
 
Leave it in, take it out, it makes no difference. I took one out, realised it didn't matter so glued it back in.
