Amazing Spiderman Build (Taylor McManus)

Has anyone found a seamstress to sew their suit up? I contacted one today and they said at the very least it would be $1,500...

HA!whaaaaaaaat?! greedy.
No I have not.
There are so many things I need to tell a tailor before hand. I am not looking forward to the conversation. I could see how that would make one charge that much. Or maybe that was their way I'm getting to you to get someone else...

Yeah that's what my guess is, they just didn't want to deal with it, they never even saw the print. I called a few other places that said they couldn't be sure until they have it in front of them but I honestly can't see how anyone would think it would constitute that amount of money.

They pretty much lumped me into their "custom clothing" category which (according to the site) is them designing and fabricating a custom print they design with me, not something I'm bringing in already printed just needing sewing. Guess they hate superheroes. Hahaha.

Why dont you send a PM to DarkHero here on the board? I know that he's sewn up several spidey suits (including mine) for a reasonable price

I would love to as I think experience is key with this kind of thing but unfortunately I still have to get my print, attach and modify the asics and attach my lenses and I don't think I would have enough time to ship my suit somewhere and have someone sew and ship it back (I plan to wear it for Halloween).

Kid do you read anything? Like at all?
You've posted the same question on every thread you come across.
I even answered this question like 5 comments up on this page. The same question you asked like 3 days ago. Answered it right away too.
Yet here we are, and on every thread we both come across. Repeating the same question and not waiting for an answer.
You can book mark threads and subscribe to them. This way you are notified via email when someone chimes in on a thread.

When the ASM replica suit threads started to explode I found a wealth of info pouring from the men on these boards. I found out the Asics dirt dog 3's were the exact shoes used in the movie, how to puff paint suits, and that AN APPLICATOR TIP FROM A BOTTLE OF ALEENS GLUE FROM A 59ML SIZED BOTTLE FITS EXACTLY ON A TULIP PUFF PAINT BOTTLE. You can poke any size hole in it you want as it is not pre cut. I learned that one from MCL43N's thread, and not once did I spam everyone's ASM threads with questions about how to find info that was already here, I simply looked. I probably sound like a jerk but the beauty of this forum isn't only the finding the info, but going through the threads post by post to do so, kind of like a free info garage sale. It's kind of annoying to get excited when I see new ASM posts on the same page thinking there's some new updates by guys way more talented the I, only to find the same guy asking the same stuff over again when it's right at your finger tips! Sorry for mucking up your thread Mercy, I've said my say.

I think you are asking what I have been asking others.
Like a red or black outline around certain areas? I do think it looks better but Im afraid to start drawing straight lines. I think its going to be hard.
My red is all done. Phase 2 begins.

This is the area in which I will be outlining on the gloves.

I had a few minutes, so I took some quick snapshots of my MCL34N suit.

The suit has three separate zippers to allow entry (one from each underarm to the hip, and a third across the back).

Redtogusa mentioned this in his build thread, and at first, I was a bit concerned. I have a Rami suit that uses the traditional 2 u-shaped zippers, and I liked them because I could put on the suit without any assistance. MCL34N's third zipper threw me a bit, but after looking carefully, I found it was incredibly easy to zip and close without help.

I actually prefer this three zipper method to the U-shaped, as it's fast and efficient.

Finally, I requested a "drop down" mask. This is a mask with the zipper at the base of the head. It allows you to keep the one-piece look and take breaks to reveal your face. My Rami suit has a 12-inch zipper that runs straight down. I occasionally have problems with it because if I don't unzip it all the way, the mask tears slightly when pulled down (I've sewed it up at least 20 times).

MCL34N's suit avoids this problem with a longer zipper running at an angle (from the base of the head to the right shoulder blade). I saw this in El Fett's thread and was afraid the mask might hang oddly when down, but that concern was unfounded. The mask can be zipped up and down within a moment, and there's no tearing.

Hope this helps.
