Amazing Spider Man 2 screen print costume attempt...

Okay kids, so I tried this with the first movie and with the more practice the happier i was with the outcome.

Let me know what you think, questions and comments ALL welcome!

Cheers for taking the time out to look!

Hi!

I have a question, because its not clearly said or i havent seen it yet, then sorry for that!

When you are ready experimenting with the suit and the colors for the cloth and the pattern in blue or better gun-metal like the original looks like... will you be able to print the cloth, make the "seamstress lines" on it and sell it to us?
i would do it myself, but i have absolutley NO idea how to do that! ^^

And your work here is totally awesome! Together with TJacks ASM2 Faceshell Lense Combo its the best suit, nearest to the one in the movie, i think!

Greetings
Kevin

Hey Kevin I believe a guy on here said he just asked his seamstress to run over those parts with a sewing machine. I think it was on the front side not inside out when she did it so you could see it we'll. correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry, but i think you misunderstood my post. Its not about the "seemstress lines"... its about the cloth with the blue pattern on the blue. Seemstress lines or the "tile lines" would be cool too and shouldnt be a problem to paint. ;)

Looking better and better! I hope you'll reconsider the blue brick approach. The fabric stretching when worn can't bulge each individual brick into the proper shape; it'll simply warp the straight brick pattern as a whole. I think that black ink as seen on the film suit might desaturate and darken the blue fabric just right, too!

Either way, you're getting closer than most have in their attempts - especially by screen printing the webs! Great stuff.

Aaron, I think those are raised - perhaps not quite as high as the film suit, but puffed out. Oracle, is it an additive that raises the ink? Could more additive create a more 3D effect?

Yeah they are raised I was just wondering if they would be really raised like maybe 1 to 2 milimeters. But thanks man

This is great, man! Maybe it would be better to use high density inks for the webs? I don't know much about screen printing but what these guys have looks spot on, and pretty much what you're looking for. (skip to 7:34) Graphic Elephants Screen Printing Gel Gloss Special Effect - YouTube
