Amazing Spider-man 2 pattern

Take a look at this picture (You may have to zoom in a bit to see) :

If you look at the top edge of his left wrist, you'll be able to see what appears to be a zipper pull right along the edge. So start at the upper edge of his arm. If you're looking at the blue, count up 1.5 web lines and you'll see the pull.

...and if you look at the bottom edge of his right wrist you'll see fabric puckering consistent with having a zipper there.

So the zippers are along the outer edge of his wrists.

I hope that makes sense.

The attached images should explain the wrist zipper better.

And as for screen printing additives, because you're in a different country, I would just use Google. Search for "Screen Printing Stretch Additive" or "Silk Screening Stretch Additive" or even "Plastisol ink Stretch additive" or possible "Poly ink stretch additive." One of those should help you find someone near you who can supply it to you...in addition to the inks.

As for the silicone, if you haven't reached out to Smooth-On yet, try them. I've always found them to be helpful. If they can't help you, you might just have to buy some small quantities and experiment.

okay cheers that makes more sense now :) i actually found the additive and the bottle but i get so many ink options i'm lost as to what will create that matt look on the new suit at a guess what do you think the webs on this suit are made of?

sweet i really cant wait man your suit is spectacular :)

Did those bad pics of the hands help at all Orhadar? There's a ton of new set photos I'm going to sift through to see if they have anything better. I really can't wait to see this thing finished.

Well look at that, Webb just tweeted this:

Important to note the pressure pad for the webshooters too!

I was hoping that someone was working on a template for this suit. I frequently browse RPF looking into ways of making a suit myself but my time being in the army doesnt allow me to put in such time. I would definitely give it a shot though a buy your template for my first try!

finished front hand, best I could do with the current shots available.
I think I will have a first version for sale in the next couple of days.

Looks pretty good to me. My only comment is that they might be a little more "square" in the movie? But I could be wrong.

I have possibly a weird question about these designs: When you make them, how do you know the weblines will line up when the pieces are sewn together?

I put them next to each other in PS, and I have the basic Raimi webs to work with.
also in the movie, not all the webs actually line up, hard to see it but if you look hard enough in some photos.

Cool :) thank for the info. I was just curious. It amazes me the work you're doing with these and I was wondering how you do it so well haha.

I think this area compare with your design looks a little different. I might be wrong, just trying to help. The line should be lifted up more and straight.

I'm kinda having problems with the colors, I don't know what color the webs and spider should be, sometimes they look almost black, sometimes they seem to be bright silver. any advice people?

They're most likely gun metal. To get that effect in rubber, I would mix graphite powder into the mix...for a flat print, you might want to do a gradient overlay so that some parts are black, others grey, and still others look lighter and shinier.

That's my best idea currently, but I'm sure if you play with it you'll find a solution to might work even better, but at least it's a starting point.
