Markus that is just Awesome! He looks great!
Any info as to where you got the eyes, I want a couple of pairs for myself.

I got the glass eyes from a supplier here in Germany and have 4 or 5 pairs left over.

Including the s&h costs to me, a pair cost me about 8 Euro.
Plus 3 Euro for a padded envelope to the states would be 12 Euro.

Don´t want to put up an interest list, but feel free to contact me via PM.
IF there´s enough interest so I have to order a new batch, I´ll give the 9mm eyes a try as well. The 10mm ones are great but the pupil is a tad too large.

Yeah they look really good and I will definately consider it when I build a more screen accurate worm.

Here's a couple of build-ups I did since my wife wanted a "quick" alternative for an upcoming convention.
We didn't have the fur, so I went back to the feather route, inaccurate, but fuzzy and cute nonetheless!

Finished, sans hair, as per the client's request (he's going to attach it himself). Also putting the finishing touches on a cute glittery brick base. The one I'm building for myself is on hold, as I'm waiting for those groovy glass eyes Markus (OdiWan72) in Germany offered.

I got Allo today I love it Thanks very much. This was the best RPF transaction I have ever had.

Thank you.

I ordered my glass eyes for this! I can't wait to tackle this project and surprise my wife with this!
Can you say, "Brownie Points!"!!!:love:thumbsup

Also posted this in my FS thread in the JY...

Seems like there is enough interest for at least one small additional order and I´d be happy to manage it for all worm-builders out there.

But since I´m not out to make any profit on these eyes, I´m wondering if it might me more economic to find a supplier for -maybe even more accurate- eyes in the USA? I´ve seen those small eyes going for about $3 over in the states, while here in germany I pay about 6 EURO a pair (plus the partial shipping costs for the order) :confused

Don´t get me wrong, if you want me to place a new order for these...I WILL...just wanted to ask ;)

Sidenote:
While these eyes are great and add a nice -realistic- touch to the lil´guy, they are not as accurate as I´d wish them to be. The eyes on the puppet were plastic domes painted from the inside so there is no clear section in front of the iris/ pupil...know what I mean!?

Personally, I prefer the eyes you got. That's why I bought a pair from you. It's impossible to make a screen accurate 4 inch model when the real one was a good foot or two long. I think your eyes add that needed touch of realism for something so scaled down from the original puppet.

Thanks gentlemen...just wanted to mention it.

So did anyone find another source for "my" eyes in the states or should I proceed with my interest list in the JY?

Found this pair from the link another member posted:

The pair you found appear to be more red than maroon though. Also, the smallest this pair comes in is a 10mm. Think it'd work?

I'd also love to have photos of your beheaded worm if you have them. I'm trying to figure out where you made the cut. :) Thanks!

Hmmm...the eyes you posted a link of a nice for the money but the color is just "wrong" IMHO.

Didn´t take any WIP pics during beheading/ reassembling my worm, sorry...

I made the cut on the 3 wrinkle below the chin (which goes pretty much all around the neck). I used a VERY thin bladed cope-saw (sp?).
Then I hollowed out the head, drilled small holes in the eyes for orientation and proceeded with a 10 mm round sanding bit on my dremel. Make sure you lower the dremels speed, when you´re getting closer to the surface as the heat will soften the resin and it´s VERY easy to break through (Glad I had a test-cast to practice :rolleyes). Score the eyes with an x-acto knife from the outside to get a nice´n´clean cut along the eye-lids.

Do constant test fitting of the eyes!
Clean the inside of the head and fit/position the eyes with a small bit of clay. When you´re happy with the angle the eyes are sitting in the cavities, back fill them with hot glue, putty, resin ....whatever.
Get some Epoxy sculpt/ putty, place the head on the body and blend/ re-sculpt the seam.

Prime, paint, finish, display ;)

I'll be purchasing a couple of eyes from Van Dykes and let folks know if any works out. I have a couple of worms that can be sacrificed in the name of science, so I will try to do a step by step picture process.
If someone who bought their pair already does it first, this could help a lot of us.
