It‘s so beautiful, it almost made my cry. Hats off to you Sir, incredible workmanship. And I envy all you owners of such a beauty!

I‘m dreaming of a custom Harley in the style of the Rocketpack…something in this direction, but more like the actual Rocketpack.

Thanks to RPF member RuNvS for the super accurate trigger gauntlets. I’ve just about got everything wired up.

edit: Also big thanks to that same member for the info and help in replicating the storage/transport case for the Rocketpack. It took about a month to build from scratch and I couldn't be happier. Can't wait to share, hopefully in a day or two.

Case is finished and gloves + electronics all wires up. Still need the jacket and the rest of the outfit but this feels great!

There are not enough words in the English language to respond to this build
Every inch of it is incredible!
Congratulations!

DavidJGuyton where can I buy #013? (Or add my name to your wait list)
I don't have any jetpacks on the wait list at the moment, but I am in the middle of doing a pretty large armor commission for 505 Games. After that I have another commission that should only take a couple of weeks. I won't be able to start a jetpack until probably mid June. Prices for materials are getting really stupid so I can't guarantee what the cost will be at that time. If you are comfortable paying some of the money up front so I can get the materials in stock, then I can give you a solid price....but I gotta do a little math to figure out what the materials cost currently. I do have the sheet metal on hand so that's good.

Cool - I've emailed you. Happy to put down a deposit if that helps :)

Ok, so none of my previous customers ever complained that I provide rather ordinary (but legit) parachute buckles with my builds. The ones they used in the movie are impossible to come by, and when you do find them, they cost thousands of dollars. On my current build (#14), I can't even find the regular buckles that I usually use, so I had to resort to making a set of my own. I wanted to try to recreate the buckles from the film, but instead of 3D printing them, I came up with a simple solution that allows me to cast them in pewter. I will probably put up a separate thread on them so that people can find it easily when they search for the buckles. Here's some pics though:

I will be selling these things. Not sure about the price yet. I will offer them at a reduced price to any of you who have bought a jetpack from me already.

Wow! 100% in for some buckles.

Edit: I had planned to build one from printed steel parts, but this is way better.

This week was the first time getting all the pieces together, just in time for the Halloween costume event at work. Of course, I think my coworkers realized mine was a little bit more than a Halloween costume :)

Jacket and boots are from Magnoli
Helmet is MR brass
Trigger gauntlets from Tim Parthum
Electronics by Valor

Yep, your co-workers saw that this was not a Wall Mart costume for sure. (y) (y):cool::love::love:
Little advice taking pictures: ask the photog to kneel; the lens is distorting your body dims: legs appear shorter and slimmer.
By putting the camera lower, you solved the problem and now upper and lower body are more in sync with each other;)
