Aliens M240 Incinerator

Im currently in the process of thrashing out a new build of an M240 flamethrower from Aliens.
Can anyone confirm if the top sight channel of the M16A1 carry handle was filled in on the original or left intact.


I have drawn the handle so far as per original M16A1

The real props look terrible. I know they are only going to be seen online for seconds at a time, but geez. I like paulsboutique design better, since it can be admired at length. If the prop makers for the movie had time (and money), they would have done it properly. But budget always plays a part.

thanks for all the comments and links - yes the originals are terrible, i will be smoothing some of the corners once im happy with the design, to try and keep some of the "bog" lines

Yes, movie props (there are exceptions of course) are usually ``rough`` looking in person...but they look good on film
