Agreed, on mine I used a number of different grey shades and then worked them in on highlighted areas (ribs etc.). Originally for Aliens they used browns but I always preferred the grey look of the original (even thought its probably not quite so screen accurate being the aliens design and alien colour scheme).

I really like what Batnemo has done with the "extra" pieces he's made himself. On mine I painted the bodysuit with liquid latex so at least the suit would look like a complete entity rather than the "latex applications on cotton suit" the Aliens movie suits. However there are a couple of places on mine where somethings missing (like where the tail meets the back) so I'd be interested in seeing what you've done. The fact that your jaw has a "bottom" to it is great too.
