I only use what came with it. Is .50 mm considered large? I'm confused between the largest and smallest.
 
.50mm is considered a medium, general purpose tip.  A .3mm (or .35) is smaller and better for finer lines and detail.  Think of it this way... the smaller the number, the smaller the tip, the smaller the spray pattern.  I've seen tips as fine as .2mm, but I'm sure there's smaller.  With practice I would think a .50mm  should work okay for anything you want to do on a pred mask.
