Aether: Thor 2 Dark World - My first attempt

This is my first attempt to create the aether. The frame is mostly painted wood. The black stone looking part is sheet metal that I painted with fleck stone paint. Inside is just a simple socket with a red bulb. It's wired up to a motion sensor in my basement so it turns on when you walk in.

Not sure if anyone else is trying to make these but I'd love to see other attempts or any tips anyone has.

Looks great! The only thing I could suggest would be adding some strips of frosted translucent plastic around the red light, to conceal the inside and diffuse the light better. Search 'frosted perspex' on eBay and you can buy sheets for £1!
