*Advice Needed*

Hey guys
Been a bit of a lurker on this this with a couple of minor posts, But am needing some advice on my next project.
I intend to make a steampunk Parrot, with a few moving clockwork parts inside the main body partly on show, so I need some advice on how to make the main body, Materials etc?

You could start with a plastic bird.
Block of shaped foam, paper mache over a balloon, plastic ball or egg.

Thanks Division 6, Ive been looking on e-bay and amazon for while and not found anything I think is suitable, so not sure weather I should try and make a wire mesh frame and cover it with clay or a polystyrene body base? ...
Not sure who/what Bubo is Jedimaster?

taxidermy forms? probably tons of sizes and shapes...

Not sure about the taxidermy option thanks Vixr as I intend to put a clockwork mechanism inside the chest and also will be using some metal strips accross the body and some for feathers too, tho the Primary wing feathers will be real, I will also be put some gems as eyes with a light mounted inside the head

Bubo is from the original Clash of the Titans Movie. He does make a cameo in the remake too. Kind of a clock work owl.

Will hopefully start putting something together over the next week or so.
I am also looking into Wings, Shape, length, part feather part metal foldable or not? anyone have any info on structure or materials
