This is Alec Peters, CEO of Propworx. We did BOTH the limited crew edition (60) and the limited edition we sell on our site and sold at the auction (250). Both are signed by artist Ken Rabehl and have our hologram and are numbered. The first group is different in that they do not have a white border. The second edition we added a border to. The first edition was only for cast and crew.
They are both printed by the same printer and are on canvas.

I can see that the plaque has the cut corners, but I'm not sure if it says "The Cylon War" or "First Cylon War". The title was listed as "First Cylon War" in the ebay auction, but would that make sense? The painting pre-existed the 2nd war.
After visiting my local Habitat for Humanity store, I found a frame there for $76. No, it's not the same color, but the gold actually accents the painting in a way the pic below can't even come close to showing.
Moral of the story - if it doesn't have to be exact, be sure to visit places that have used frames and very low prices.
Total cost of everything but the print: >$100...

Old thread I know. 
Not having a lot of money, I ordered one of those Qmx posters of Adama's Cylon War painting.
I decided to go ahead and find a suitable frame for it, while at the same time staying on a budget. Michael's was having a 50-60% sale on their frames, however at the size I needed, they still started around 60 bucks. Not "quite" what I planned on spending on a frame.
However in the same store, they had "cheapo" paintings on sale- one frame that looked the part (and was the right size) was $12.99. Score! :thumbsup
So I present my "scaled down" version of Adama's Cylon War painting-
(The glass of the frame reflects a lot of light).
So I trimmed it, and mounted it on a black backing (and if I ever decided to do it again- I would leave it to a professional next time. I kind of frakked it up leaving one corner looking a little chewed. :unsure)
The size including the frame is 19.5 by 23.5 inches.
Got a plaque made for it at a local engraving shop. After much mulling I decided on "The Cylon War" as opposed to "First Cylon War". There never really is a good look at the plaque in the show, however in one episode it can be seen briefly (out of focus) over Tigh's shoulder. I could sort of make out that the first word on the plaque was too short to be a five letter word (not the same size as the word "Cylon" which IS five letters), so it most likely is the word "The".
Now to hang it on the wall.

The plaque would have to say "The Cylon War," wouldn't it? The colonies were all in flames by the time anyone knew there would even be a second one.
