Adam Savage Costume

The question still remains. Will this be a solo costume or a group effort? w/ the straight forward list Adam gave it would be very easy to coordinate orders and do a pseudo flash mob with dozens of people dressed exactly the same.

Or it could be more subtle where multiple people do their own interpretation of him. Like where's waldo where not everyone is dressed exactly the same, but a lot of people have on red and white (or otherwise look like waldo).
I for one would love to help organize a Thomas Crown-esque flash mob as an entrance for Adam to a forum or whatever where he was speaking.

So I'm looking for some high res head shots of Adam. I'm not asking everyone to scour the internet for me, but if anyone knows of any sites that would have high res head shots I'd appreciate it (yes I've already checked discovery, IMDB, and his personal website).
These are probably the best I've come across so far.

I am particularly looking for an image of him in the Indiana Jones hat straight on.
Like this one but better quality.

I have found a few not listed because they are huge and take up too much space in the forum.

yeah.... To be totally honest I feel the same way a little. I've seen plenty of threads that have almost identical content. The dividing line that is being questionably blurred IMO is that rather than talking about a fictional movie character we are talking about a real person. In fact one that frequents the forum. It feels a little bit like talking about a friend while they are in the room. Fortunately we don't have anything bad to say.

I hope it gets less weird when I get to the makeup stage, I'm going to do several trial runs before hand. FYI I don't look like Adam, so getting the silicon and makeup right is the primary focus of this costume for me.

Also if enough people want to do a flashmob/where's adam day/event at Comic-con I think it would be less weird because there would be more of an event than just a costume. Either way I'm going through with it.

That's me above. The shirt I wear is a American Apparel Ringer T, black on black, size M. The plaid jacket is Jil Sander. Jeans are diesel, or levis, or sometimes Ernest sewn. Worn out bloodstone boots (steel toes) are daily wear as well.

Glasses come from a designer named Gillian Kaplan in England.

You do realize Adam will use this whole idea and then run with it himself? With his own penchant for misdirection in the costuming department at the Cons, he will go out of his way to make Where's Adam really difficult, but he will probably have a good prize for the person finding him.

I hope he does run with it. I just hope he involves the forum in some way if he does.

P.S. if anyone on the forum hasn't seen the Thomas Crown affair, you need to watch the YouTube clip I linked to in my earlier comment to get a glimpse at what I'm thinking of.

THAT is very interesting, from the photos I've seen on the internet they all look like they could be one of the two versions of the hat, accept that the band changes in some of the images. Though as much as he cherishes the Indiana hat it would make sense that he has a similar (but cheaper) facsimile, to wear around.
I guess only he could answer that. Perhaps he will be gracious enough to clear this up for us.
