Thanks everyone, The centre piece I'm having laser cut from the design I drew - I't's not 100% the same, because as I said there is a time factor involved and I don't have the time to do all the detail right now.

Yes the leaves are steel and quite heavy. The rest I'm making out of stainless steel, so the whole thing is going to weigh quite a lot!

It's amazing what is able to be accomplished with metal and some welding, I really need t learn to weld sometime, best of luck on that costume.

Thanks, this wasn't actually welded though, it was joined using industrial silver solder and a oxygen torch.
I'm a jeweller by trade so it is a bit easier for me knowing how to solder, but it's something that anyone can learn .

now thats the kind of quality i would pay for in a buckle. all the repro's ive seen have been kind of bad by comparison
