its all at the moment:confused

Have you considered foam instead of Styrofoam? It may take shape better. looks good so far. DO you just plan on sealing it/bondo then mold?

the choice of material was due to the cost-ease of obtaining, the styrofoam is very easy to get but the foam, only found in thin sheets for simple crafts.

The next step is to line the piece with a thin layer of fiberglass and then a thin layer of bondo to finish ... then airbrushing, I have not considered making copies, although I'm not versed in these techniques

and thanks for the comment!

Today after work, sand the second coat of plastic filler, first with the motortool, and then hand it is very tiring especially if you do not break, it was an hour and a half of sand and stopped most of all by the lack sunlight, as I do in the backyard of my house.
Otherwise it is very difficult to work with lenses and the mask, but believe me this is essential so

BKH1 out! :awing:

I was dissatisfied with the dome, which looked and did not like so keep looking for a replacement, I found it and change it, now I'm more pleased, though I lost some of the original work and we will see these changes ending
True Blue Leader, still lack the vents, do it with putty on this fact, it is easier and less damaging to the helmet

MERRY XMAS!!!!!

Very cool. I am enjoying following this, especially since I have no skill in sculpting or know how to work with fiberglass, etc.
Good learning experience for me.

And Merry Christmas

First of all, Merry Christmas to all rebel pilots and those who are aspiring to be, I hope that Christmas has brought them happiness, health ... and why not some sw Collectibles
I keep moving forward with my helmet, sand a little top and work the ventilation slots, I hope tomorrow to start the wiring, to end the manufacture and send it to paint.
Also worked in the cloth cap, removing the plastic visor according tomorrow should get my hands on the flak vest and spats.
If all goes to plan, by January 15 should have my A wing pilot to ready for review

BKH1 drinking in the Dianoga´s Pit... cheers!

there are already many photos of the helmet alone, I think it's time to test as shown in my head, but first see what the hat, of course, still lacks changes
Imagen081.jpg

I thought it would look a lot bigger, but not bad, still need foam to prevent the back drop and also the rubber on the side jaws, hoping to secure that part of my face

PLEASE NO JOKES ABOUT THE BLANKET....

BKH1... OUT WITH STAR BLANKETS!

Today i perform the first imaging test to check the overall look of the suit, even missing the harness, and make the new vest, but I think overall it looks pretty good, but I need even critical comments(n)thumbsup

suddenly wonder why I clear my face from the pictures, not because being in the most wanted list of FBI and Interpol, is a technique applied to see the suit without prejudice sometimes one tends to see his face in the images to see that everything is perfect just because one is there, especially someone with an ego like mine jejejejeje:love

BKH1 stay on target!

a small update, this is the belt with mini flares, I'm still waiting for the new vest to put harnesses on the legs and the helmet is still with the painter ... in his words, promises to be an amazing design

well buddies, it's time for the opinions, I have a new vest, chestbox already install, I have the harness and belt and put it all together. I know I lack the pockets of the thighs, the union of the harness is somewhat yellowish, and the vest looks a bit loose (as corrected later, but not take the picture)and you notice the Velcro tape in the vest (was over, i will buy to put more and not notice that will be closed completely) but beyond that I would like to know what you think
