Mods, please feel free to move this if I don't have this in the correct place.
I was looking at my swords today and I was looking at my Marto Duncan MacLeod katana and wakizashi and thought it would be nice to have a "matching" wakizashi for my United Connor MacLeod Katana.
I have a Marto Connor Tsuba lying around (yes, I know it is thinner than the United), and this would be a wall hanger so I am not looking for a high-end blade. However here is the ethical question.
Is it unacceptable to have someone (as I have no skills) recast the United handle in order to cut it down to wakizashi size. I basically hope to hollow it out and use it as a sleeve over the tsuka of the wakizashi.
Thanks for the help.
