Thank you! And you raise an interesting point. After thinking about it I came to the following conclusion. Compared to most of the props in the film, this one, being an Emergency Tool, probably didn't have as much wear and tear as everything else. Of course, I *did* weather it (slightly) and dirtied it up noticably, though the camera flash has washed most of that out. lol

There could have been other emergencies on the Nostromo before the encounter with the alien. Especially with Brett and Parker on board. :lol
