Isher plasma gun prop origin?

I just purchased this interesting prop gun. It looks to be from a really old garage type company called Isher Weapons. I have included their parts list circa 1982. Any info would be appreciated. The gun itself is extremely well made of machined aluminum, copper and acrylic. It apparently lights up and has sound. Haven't powered it up yet.

According to google, the 180 dollar original cost would be about 600 now.

After a little interwebs surfing, it appears that Tullio Proni designed and built this particular gun.

Cool looking piece!
It reminds me of a number of props from different shows, though it is an original design, right?
Looks well made too
