Hey gang,
I wanted to share a few props and a sculpt I did for a couple of independent films that were made here in Connecticut over the last couple of years.
The sculpt is my first attempt at working with clay and didn't come out to bad. This was a monster created for a time travel story we did that has been mutated over its life from overuse of time traveling.
The props are an atomic generator I made for a spoof on a 1950s B movie zombie flick. The other is an futuristic cattle prod for a post Apocalyptic story we did which was part of the time travel film.
We are also looking upgrade our equipment to better our projects and we have started a page on Indiegogo hoping to get some donations from friends and fellow prop makers/film makers. I thought I would post here to see if any fellow RPF'ers wanted to help out a member with the cause.

On to the pictures:

Love the cattle prod. It has that neat "lived in world" look of some Star Wars props - or the Nimbosian Settler guns in Star Trek V. Really good work.

Thanks for the comments..

The Cattle prod was basically made from parts for the dollar store, the metal cage was a thrift store find
and the rest were parts from Home Depot. I don't think it came to more the $8.00 to build.

I did a few cyborg costumes for that piece as well. I'll have to see if we have any still photos on them that
I can add here.

The Atomic generator was about $500.00 to build. Most of it being the wood. It was all laser cut and assembled
from tons of pieces. It had a few strobe lights inside for effect. The scenes with this were filmed in black and
white. This was a 1950's spoof so it helps with the look of the film. Lightning effects were added in post.

We have a few new projects in the works including an alien invasion story. All seen from captures on cell phones.
Think Cloverfield in style.

I LOVE that second device, (the four legged one, ugh...some days I shouldn't get near a keyboard...). :D COOL. Nice work!

Hah, this is some really cool work. The Atomic generator is really clean, very professional looking. (for props I guess haha) That cattle prod is pretty believeable, and that sculpt would give me nightmares :D great work

Thanks for the comments.

The Atomic Generator is about 3 1/2 feet wide and 6 1/2 feet tall with the electrode on top.
Much of this was laser cut and assembled like a large puzzle. The rest was found objects
from an old warehouse and the dollars store. This was a budget build and even though still
pricey, it looked great on screen.

We have a few more projects we are working on, one of them starts filming in a few weeks.

The fun part is always trying to raise the money to get them off the ground. :)
