‘A Christmas Story’ Sequel Set With Original Star Peter Billingsley
Clay Kaytis, who already tackled the yuletide holiday season with 'The Christmas Chronicles,' is directing the feature for Legendary and Warner Bros.

Oh yeah I've never seen it but I heard it was bad. There already was a direct video sequel in 2012 titled A Christmas Story 2. My understanding is it’s an abomination.
My Summer Story was the first sequel, and is actually pretty decent. The ACS 2 from 2012 sucked. There already was a direct video sequel in 2012 titled A Christmas Story 2. My understanding is it’s an abomination.

There are actually quite a few films that take place in Jean Shepard’s universe. Nothing beats the original though.Yes, with an all new cast, but Jean Shepard still narrated. I believe it may have also been called "Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss" and was made for TV, 1988. From what I remember it was really funny.
is that the movie where they battle with pull string tops?My Summer Story was the first sequel, and is actually pretty decent. The ACS 2 from 2012 sucked.
Not in the original, that was Peter Billingsley.Matt Dillon played Ralphie??? How in the h*** did that slip by me???
Of course, but had no idea Dillon played him in a sequel. Not in the original, that was Peter Billingsley.

The kitchen is actually really really small and not used in the movie. So damn cool! Love how they let you in the cupboard!
Wow! Was it a set they were on?The kitchen is actually really really small and not used in the movie.
Yes. Basically, all exterior shots were at the house in Cleveland. Any shots looking out a door or window, like the leg lamp scene, looking out at the father across the street, or Ralphie shooting Black Bart, were also shots done in Cleveland, as they needed to see the outside. The rest of the interior shots were all on a soundstage in Canada. The actual house was not even laid out like it is in the movie, as they weren’t going to be shooting inside, so the soundstage layout was made to look different. Note in the movie, there is a dinning room between the living room and the kitchen… it’s not present if you tour the house. When Brian Jones bought the house, he gutted it and reconfigured it to match the film as close as possible, but it still is not the interior seen in the film. That is a point of confusion for many who visit the house and do the tour, and the tour guides are often untrained and give out false information.Wow! Was it a set they were on?
This is actually a very common thing in TV & movie productions, shows and movies tend not to use the actual interior of a house or building that you from the outside and with a few exceptions, the interiors seldomly, if ever, match too.Yes.
