9th/10th Doctor, First TIme Sonic Screwdriver Body Build

This is my first finished 9th/10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver body (minus the blue strip) side by side and fit with parts from the very first sonic built for me by SanHolo80. Not perfect by any means, but not bad for a first try. The cut away section for the slider was a tad off and in filing it down, I made it too wide. Other than that I thought it turned out okay.

I'm anxious to get started on more of the bodies plus the base and emitter parts. I'm practicing the Sanholo80 method of sonic fabrication in hopes to help him with lathed blanks for his builds to lighten the load. I may be working on certain parts for other sonics as well but for now, it's full 10th style lathed blanks.

Let me know what you guys think. I do have some other projects in mind and I will post as I progress.

Oversize slot isn't a huge deal with this design. Its already oversize anyway! With the dremel method, it was always slowly, undercutting everything. Then filing smooth and straightening to size.

Wow... I love my milling machine. ;-)

Yeah it's definitely not bad. I'm just glad everything fit together okay. And right now I'm loving my mini lathe and hope to love a milling machine someday. lol.
