Just thought I would show you all my 8th Doctor Dark Eyes Sonic Screwdriver.
it was made for me by ItsAnAshton and it's amazing I'm very pleased with the build quality and it feels really sturdy and has some nice weight to it.
The core consists of the 'Build your own sonic screwdriver' electronic part which has been modified with a blue LED to light the crystal, and of course it retains all of the toys sounds!
The 'wood section' is made of mahogany I believe and has a really nice feel to it, while the crystal is machined from acrylic and held in by screws.
The base section and crystal emitter are both removable and the button is removed to allow you to slide the core out to change the batteries.
The only slight downside to this build for me is the inaccuracy of the button but I'm willing to look over that small detail as the rest of the screwdriver is simply superb!
