3D Printing Stormtrooper Mic Tips (non-functioning)

Hello again! It's been awhile.

Anyway, i've recently gained access to a 3D printer, courtesy of my High School Tech Engineering class.

I've decided it's be a great idea to print the Mic-tips for my stormtrooper helmet and then cast them. My goal is to make them as screen accurate as possible for an inevitable application to join the 501st Legion. Only thing is,I don't think that that's even possible for someone with my skill/experience.

The helmet is a WIP Pepakura build for the ESB Style Stormtrooper Helmet, and I don't know know where to start for Modeling the mic tips.

Any help or suggestions? I'd also appreciate people finding pre-made 3d files for them :D

Thanks a ton,

Download a program called Sketchup. It's free and great for doing more techy 3D cad work. Your files can then be exported to STL for 3D printing. It's what I primarily use, although 123d design is also great and perhaps a little easier to achieve bevels and chamfers.

I am pretty sure that there are already a few files for the respirators out there, habe a looknat what thingieverse offers, for example or the sketchup 3d warehouse.

Thank you for this resource, however i'm practically dirt poor. I'm using the 3d Printer at my high school and I also have no way to pay for this, which really sucks :lol. but thanks anyway, it's really helpful.
