Thanks Askernas. Here's a video kind of detailing how I'm making the suit wearable.
I'm using a button snap system with webbing to help hang the pieces on me. Here's a video showing a demo of the system in place. The pieces still need some minor adjustments and padding to help center the pieces better. Hope you guys enjoy.

As far as magnets go, I use not normal magnets, but something developed instead of shoe laces that is strong enough for sports shoes, called "zubits". They are really strong and holds the shoulder pieces together without issues. Could be good to know about them for future builds =)

That's awesome I will definitely keep that in mind. I know the Iron Man guys use a lot of magnets on their stuff. Since I Fiberglassed the chest and back it definitely added a few pounds more of weight. The brackets I made are super simple and quick to make and I'll have no worries on it coming apart. Thanks for the info sir!
Yeah, I looked at a ton of Iron Man builds to getas much info about harnesses and strapping for Robo.
I've built enough cosplays in my life to stay on simple and easy paths =p

Hey guys,
So the suit is pretty much finished. I threw all the pieces on a pvc mannequin I made because I was just super excited to see all the detail with it fully together. Here is some pics of how it looks! I have to say it looks 100% Robocop and pretty much exactly like its movie counterpart. I couldn't be happier with it.
Of course there is still a lot of work to do when it comes to adding padding, minor clean up, and paint. I'm still just stoked on how well it came out. I hope ya"ll enjoy.

Great job you did on that suit. Yes, it seems that the suit part is one big headache, it's another to put it together and move in it

I know that they made an under suit for the movie, where every parts was either locked-in (pivoting on a metal sleeve...like NASA suits) or directly drilled and actuated on the outer suit itself. Like your elbow for example. While your straps are a good trick, as soon as you move your arm to bend it at the elbow, your mid-point tends to go forward. The production drilled that forearm directly into the arm part to make sure the movement was hinged properly. It means that you'll have to raise your forearms slightly up and drill through another piece of metal to the arm, then hinge it with a metal rod to the forearm and finishing the outside to make it invisible. Keep up the great work

Hey Joberg thanks for your kind comments as always sir! Yeah the arms were connected using metal brackets in the inside of the arms. You can see the two screws in the elbow and lower part of the upper arm that were drilled into the bracket. I know I deviated a bit with accuracy but I wanted to feel a little more free when moving my arms and less rigid with the brackets. I also worry the brackets might be too rigged and crack the 3D print if I move the wrong way so I went the safer route! I also did the same webbing trick on my last Robocop suit I built with the DO3D files and once you add in padding and center the pieces better on your arms the pieces stay a lot more centered when moving.
I do have an idea for the metal brackets and buttons I might want to try just for fun on the arms. I'll post an update when I get to it soon! Thanks again man. Those pics just make me think how hot and miserable it was wearing the suit.

Got the helmet painted a couple days ago. I was testing a few methods and very happy with the overall result. I'll be painting the arms within the next few days. Super excited to finish this thing!

I have to thank my beautiful wife because without her none of this would be possible she has been a huge help behind the scenes and I'm blessed to have such a wonderful wife and helper. Thanks also to everyone who has supported the build....I really appreciate everything! It's been a lot of fun doing this build....this being my second Robocop build I still learned quite a bit in the process. I'm extremely happy with the suit and after trying for hours to get it on the mannequin and scuffing it up a bit, I'm a bit apprehensive about wearing it but it's still a possibility. Thanks again guys and I hope you enjoy. Big thanks also to Asen who designed the files they were an absolute pleasure to work on. Any and all comments are welcome!

Thank you guys for the great comments....much appreciated. The paint job was probably one of the most stressful parts of doing the suit but it worked out thankfully. And yes Joberg never say never! One minute I'm like yes I'm totally going to wear it! Then the next minute I'm like no I think it would be better with all the hardwork if I just leave it displayed and not destroy it! Who knows....
