3D printed Obi-wan Lightsaber

Fantasic work! these things just get better! :D Looks like you did a lot of sanding to get it print line free.

and thanks again for your fantastic work!

That's probably the best paint job I've seen on a 3D printed saber. Just nuts.

Good work!

thanks everybody! also thanks to cjchiu who helped me finding the calculator clear lens bit on the handle!

now my wife wants one too... more sanding to come, but I need a different model...

Very awesome work in this thread!

I recently got one of these in for paint, here is what I ended up doing. I went with a little less weathering, and more for the sharp metal tones. I actually went for my old Roman Saber as reference.

I think if I do another I'd love to do the more beat up weathered look.

Man was was it a fun one! Beyond thankful for Imperial Surface Technologies paints.. couldnt do it without it!

Started working on printing this over the weekend. Got the grenade, pommel, and neck/pinwheel printed up beautifully. Printed using concentric lines and there's some thin spots at the print ceilings, but a small layer of wood glue will keep it all together. It's really beautiful to watch these print, very elegantly modeled.
