Wait 89sabers recasts?
Yeah, and very recently from runs here from some good guys. It's put a lot on edge in terms of sharing resources lately. As far as I know, 89's just a seller that gets stuff from China (where many of these suppliers get their wares) and manufacturers that are hired out from here to produce parts just use the info we send over and sell the stuff to those willing to buy it and sell it through their own sites, regardless if it was meant to or not. Then folks just sell it regardless if it was meant to or not, and at the expense of effort and work done by others here.

**** I had no idea. I always thought 89 was a saber designer like one replicas or something and sold their stuff through the likes of Korbanth and KR. Do we know which ones he recast? I have his MPP 2.5 and always figured I would pick up his obi-wan's but I wouldn't want to support recasts
Recasting is always situational: if you didn't know, you didn't know. But now you do know. I know of works by Anakin Starkiller and my boy BRRogers along with his partners were among the products lately, their Leia and Luke hilts respectively, I believe. If you want to know more, you should ask them, but I don't want to derail this thread.
It looks like this version showed up a lot in episode 4. The way he swings the saber, very Samurai like, I really enjoy how he cuts with it like a katana.
Here's a little replica I whipped up. The emitter is just a Roman's metal one, although I believe the original prop I saw had a resin emitter. There were also a couple more set screws to keep things together on the neck and windvane parts, but otherwise this mockup is pretty close. Just something I banged together on a slow day

The out of focus background makes it look like CG lit with an HDRI.

I just find it funny they extended the clamp section to double the correct length, but did not extend the gold strip with it

In the Inquisitor's Chambers, there's a red, lighted shelf that goes all around the room. There are lots of lightsabers that surround the room, kinda like trophies.
Pretty sure that’s cg and not actual LEDs. At least how I felt when I saw it.
