Yeah just seconding that an actual production is never going to use a retail toy saber. Ever.

Also— this show was shot in LA on the same volume stage as Mando. That’s why when anyone runs it looks really awkward. They may look like they are in a big space, but they are not. Also seems to be effecting the dynamics of dueling…

At any rate, I would love to talk to whomever made the call to use MR sabers. And by “talk to” I mean “pummel about the head and face.”

In the fight scene in Ep3, pay close attention to the saber lockups. In the first one or two, you'll see a thin-neck stunt saber. Then in one shot, a thicker neck LOOONG hilt, which Ewan is holding in a reverse grip. I modeled the saber using some private reference, it looks like this:

I've been sitting on this model for quite a while. I made some 3D prints to test it out in person, it's very odd. Not sure if anyone would actually want this in person, probably made at Ewan's request to have more area to hold? Even the pommel is stretched out.

Nice! The screenshot looks like the neck just below the emitter is a bit shorter than my model. My model is based off of good reference, so perhaps another variant.

You mentioned that the 3D print is odd. What makes it odd?

Just the overall dimensions. It’s about half again longer than a regular saber, everything is all stretched out.

The exteriors are filmed just down the street from the studio. If I'm correct if you know where too Google map it, you'll see an exterior set for Asoka/Mando with a lake and greenery.

What´s the difference among Black Series, Galaxys Edge, Elite and ForceFX lightsabers? Im a bit confused

They are all toys. Black, Elite, and Force FX are different iterations of Hasbro’s various lightsabers, Galaxy’s Edge are the ones sold at Disney parks,
