This weekend will be Wizard World Louisville. It is the first time that Wizard World has brought a Convention to Louisville. I'm excited and hopeful that it will be a success and will become an annual event. The Wizard World Cons I have been to in the past have been very well run and organized so I am hopeful despite a bad experience in Louisville last summer with a different Con.

Anyone else heading to 'The Ville' this weekend and what are you most looking forward to while attending?

Any vendors or exhibitors on here that will be there? If so let us know so we can be sure to stop by and say hello and support fellow board members of The RPF.

I'll be there with my wife and nephew. I'll be in my black and yellow 501st bowling shirt. If you spot me say hi.

Did you check out Lexington Comic Con a few weekends ago? They put on an awesome show and I run the 501st stuff there.

I did not get to go to the Lexington Comic and Toy Con. :( I was sick as a dog for two weeks at that time and broken hearted that I had to miss it. Next year though.... *shakes fist* .. Wizard World Louisville was FANTASTIC!! Well organized. Knowledgeable volunteers. Ran smoothly. Lines were not that bad. Lots of vendors. The set up was well thought out and placed for all the functions. Great guests. I could go on and on. In short i REALLY hope that Wizard World makes this a yearly Con location. My hat's off to them. :)

Thank you, I was a Volunteer.

Friday I was at the top of the escalators/Main Hall saying "VIP's to the left, General Admittion to the right".
I even wore my Nx-01 jumpsuit around sunday.

But yeah, WWC kicked a**.

Very organizied and treated us (Volunteers) very well.

And word is they are coming back!

That is awesome news STpropguy! And thank you for being one of the great volunteers. The volunteers at the WWL were friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't meet a single one that was rude or who had no idea what they were doing. In fact, I didn't meet a single unpleasant person at all til we went to leave the parking garage over on 4th and Market and stopped at the window to pay and the parking people were rude as ..well.. you know what. They didn't want to take my money. They just wanted to be closed. So I guess I learned that the way you get free parking in the city parking structures is to not leave until about 9:30 or 10pm that night when the attendants don't want to fool with anyone! LOL! Hey STpropguy, I have another thread on here that is all about Volunteers and Volunteering where people can share their experiences and so forth and noobs that might be interested in volunteering but aren't sure what they are getting themselves into can read and ask questions. If you have a minute and want to pop over into that to leave a tidbit or two that would be great.
