Wow! This is just a weeks worth of work?
This awesome progress!
Can you explain the shell? I would also like to see some pictures of it.
Don't forget the freckles.

I actually started the costume around the last week of Sept. The shell is just Styrofoam with Eva foam glued to make the raised sections. Then I pushed coat hanger material threw it to make a cage around my body. then a lot of tape and cardboard, followed by fabric to hide it all. Ill post picks when it get home on the construction too. the material is like a t shirt material I found at Joanne fabrics that matched the color I was looking for. Its "stretchy"

The build looks awesome and just like the nickelodeon turtle!! Great job. Yeah the shell interests me as well on how you made it. I'm looking forward to the progress photos. Love the work tho :)

The shell is made from a 2' x4' x7" styrofoam block. I carved the shell with a 2" inner lip so the body would sit in from the shell. Then I pushed coat hanger like material through the inner lip and formed a " cage" around me. Duct tape and cardboard later the shell/ body looks like the pics.

That looks incredible! I would believe this was a fully production made suit from Nickelodeon, looks flawless!

This is super impressive! Where did you find your blocks of foam to carve out of? Also, are the hand functional? Overall though, amazing build I can't wait to see the rest of the turtles!

there's a slit just under the orange that I can see straight ahead, and the mouth is black screening material that I can see kids with.
Booyakasha! Great work!
How are you seeing out of the head?

Looks fantastic, something I've been wanting to do for a while. Mind if I pm you for questions about your build?

there is a company that delivers stuff to my work that packs there product with blocks of foam. Sadly the hands are not functional yet, I'm still figuring the hands out but was afraid I would run out of time so I just made static ones as placeholders.

Oh you lucky duck! Well that's awesome! Functional hands like that do seem to be a bit complex since they're so large.
