Hey guys, just finished spending two days in bed with a ridiculous fever. I'll update things here either tonight or tomorrow.

Sadly we have one giver that will need replacing.

Mine is in the mail as of this afternoon. (Mike is aware of the delay) Though, after getting back to the board and seeing all of the stuff that has been sent/received, I think I may have to send a second package later to make up for the first one. lol

While true that some people really go above and beyond it's important to me that everyone realize that this is the exception to the rule and should not be expected.

This is a fun exchange between folks with similar interests, nothing more. You should join for that alone. If you join with the hope that you'll get something above and beyond you will be disappointed. That's not what this time of year is about!

I hate hearing that people feel inadequate. No matter what you got your recipient if you got it with their interests in mind you've done well.

Thanks for the reassurance. :D I think it's just my own feeling of still knocking the rust off from not having worked on any projects for so long until just a couple months ago. But it's been fun to participate, and I do plan on doing it again next year, so all is well. :)

My lovely (and she is lovely) wife let me know Today that a package marked "Secret Santa" was placed lovingly on my doorstep.

So you can mark my sender down as delivered!

Now I have to wait and wonder what it might be until Saturday when I get home from frakking Delaware to open it.

Hello all, after a run of bad luck being sent out of town for work for almost three weeks, I was able to get back into town, get my gift finished, and shipped. I was told this afternoon that it will ship out my company's warehouse tomorrow at 10:00am. I turned it in to ship on Monday, but the man in charge was out with the flu, so it got delayed. Sorry about that, but it will be there in time for Christmas.

As far as my gift, well, I just couldn't wait! I am sure glad I didn't either, cause it was AWESOME!!!! A HUGE thanks to Jeff (Interceptor6) The gifts are perfect and will go great on display in my prop room. Thank you very much for adding a great addition to my holiday season!!!!

We had one member fail to communicate so I'm reassigning their recipient. I will send a PM to their recipient as well as to the first person to volunteer as a back up Santa to fill in. AS ALWAYS a HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered to be back up Santas this year. It truly blows me away every year to see how many people really "get it" in regards to the spirit of the season. Warms this cold heart of mine. :)

We also had a "lost in transit" issue in that the package was delivered, but thanks to the lack of professionalism at UPS it arrived empty. :thumbsdown

I've contacted the sender informing them that they're off the hook (it wasn't their fault at all) and am waiting to hear back if they would like to send another item or if I should assign a back up. Will keep you updated.

I would volunteer as a back up santa. However as I would not be building a prop piece out of said person's interest it would take some time for the gifts I arrange to arrive so could not ship till probably after christmas or later. So if another person who has prop building skills wants to volunteer awesome, as this is the replica prop forum if not I will step up to the plate but the SS recipient would have to be aware his/her gift prob would not arrive till the last week of Dec or the 1st week of Jan.


Awesome gifts btw Fuzz, I had that whole series of books but read through them so much they got to torn up. Now you make me want to find another set for myself damn you!!!

And luckily the sender for our missing Santa was going to mail tomorrow morning so we have a rare situation where I was able to stop him in time! We'll see if what he was going to send will fit for the new recipient. I have a feeling it might. :)

My gift arrived today from pobbrett, thank you very much for the very unique batman (and his buddy) worms. And thanks to Michael for taking the time to sort all this out.

Super glad that we were able to sort that out with minimal hassle!

The other member with the empty parcel is being looked after as well so we're still good!

I am the Scrooge that failed to communicate. I've been working 12 hour days and am in the beginning stages of my capstone project for my Bachelor's degree on top of that.

No excuses, just an explanation.

Regardless, the person whose name I got will receive the gift I got for them. A Lannister always pays his debts.

I understand that my lack of communication means I have lost my own gift, but as I told Michael in a message, giving is the reason for the season.

Sorry for my lack of etiquette. Hope you all have a happy holiday.
