due to a lack of reading the rules with a fine tooth comb, i missed the cut-off time to get my entry into this years dollar store lightsaber contest by less than an hour. so, i at least wanted to share my efforts with the forum. i think i did better than my entry last year, which was a main goal of mine and i really like my concept this year. enjoy ...

Nice job Fanboy. Sorry you missed the cut-off. I barely made it in time myself.

What parts did you use for this? A few pieces are recognizable, but I have no idea on the rest of it.

I used that too. That's a roller from a paint roller, right? Mine just was used for internal structure, though.

I might as well post mine as well because I missed the cut-off time too. I'm sure I didn't stand a chance with all the talent on this board, but it was still fun to make.

I know it's innocent and I don't represent the contest officially but everyone should be very careful about comments like this one. You don't want to accidentally disqualify yourself by revealing which lightsaber is yours!

Of course in this case the element was structural so no revelation was made. Just be careful... ;)

great looking saber oni!

the main base is a paint roller, a flashlight end on the bottom, battery operated candle body for the inner base with one of the chromed ends cut off tipped with the bottom of the paint roller handle and flashlight bulb and holder for the emitter, pen bodies for the grips and the pen tips for the pointed ends. the silver button is from a am/fm radio and the other button is just a fancy button.

i bought 17 items and ended up using parts or pieces from only 6 of them.
