sith sheriff Brody thanks for the Life link !
It was like Christmas had come early

so no ***** there I was watching an old Tom Baker ep of Dr Who when all of a sudden I think Im seeing things as I notice Fracking Dave Bowmans thruster pack nailed to a wall in this 1978 "the Pirate Planet" schlock sci-fi series.:lol
No wonder Kubrick wanted everything destroyed to keep this from happening.I would give a lot to find out how it ended up at the Kubrick Estate perhaps someone recognized it and sent word to Stanley that it survived intact.
stranger and stranger

That's not all, the CHEST pack was used as set decoration, in the Jagaroth spaceship in the Doctor Who episode "City of Death"! :lol

I'll have to take a screen grab... more later.

Ha! that figures you would know that! :thumbsup
I wonder what else crept by the Ax when the demo man showed up?

:confused

Thought I would resurrect this thread as things have gone a bit quiet.

Fantastic observation skills to pick up the iconic pieces of Bowman's suit. I wonder what less readily recognisable items were reused over the years.

Any further updates on the helmet project?

I got my helmet last week, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Talk about a "grail" piece... I've wanted one of these things since I was six years old.

Because you never know when some treacherous computer is going to try and blast you out an airlock.

:)

Flawless! Just like 2001.

Please, please, details please!

Was this from Mic's run?

Is it lined with speakers, and have you watched 2001 in it? :lol

Congrats,
Mike
