In the credits, you had mentioned that Getty Images is credited, so I'm guessing that's where they got the photo of the surfer on the book!Yeap that pic needs a real good re-touch
I can't keep making stuff. LolIn the credits, you had mentioned that Getty Images is credited, so I'm guessing that's where they got the photo of the surfer on the book!
100 pages + of surfer silhouettes on Getty..... oh no, what did I do.

I doubt it. Mines not even that good of a copy. I need to remake it with one somebody posted on here. Probably you, posty Mcpostalot. truly grateful though for all the good ideas and pics.I know the 1408 Postcard people were looking for the foyer photo and trying to track it down. Is your postcard screen accurate with the pic? I'm thinking now that the hotel photo might be one of the Jupiterimages etc. If I remember correctly, they managed to find a similar image, but not exactly the one used on the postcard in the film.
As it was not enough to search thousands of pages looking for the lecture PIC from "The Ninth Gate" now there's another little job looking for these on Getty and Jupiter. ....the hunt goes on!I got to about page 50 of the Jupiterimages so had to take a break. Lots of surfing photos (and pizza!). The photos from that company seem to be more orientated towards having a subject in the photo. Will continue searching tomorrow. Would be great to find the postcard images though, or identifying what was used in the film.
Thing is with Getty, I'm not sure if the photos are displayed randomly. I had to refresh a page earlier, and the photos were completely different when it loaded, which makes it a bit more difficult, having to do the searching in all one sitting, or not being able to pass off to another "I've hit page X, take it from there" etc.
This is the postcard I made based on the one posted on the other threadI know the 1408 Postcard people were looking for the foyer photo and trying to track it down. I've never seen it for sale. Just his EMF meter and phone if I remember correctly.Does anyone know if the book prop with all the files of the previous deaths that is given to Cusack ever made it up for sale? or any of the crime scene photos etc?
Some pics NSFW, so left them as thumbnails.
Seems like a cool book prop/journal project, with the leather cover etc.

Very interesting. That would be a good find.I'm guessing they could *possibly* have been real crime scene photos. There used to be a crime scene photographer back in like the 1940's/50's, and all his pics ended up being published in a book. Can't recall the name. Saw the book once on sale some place about 20 years ago, but never bought it. Might see if I can find the name of the photographer and see if the book is up on the archive website. Could possibly have been "Scene of the Crime: Photographs from the LAPD Archive" from 2004 by William J. Barton. I remember one photo in particular, which kind of makes me think they might have been real photos.
