Is anyone else having issues with it being to loose? And if so, has anyone figured out a way to fix it?

Loose as in flicks open too easily? I wasn't... and then I left it in a hot car for two weeks. Seems to have weakened the metal that provides resistance to the flicking action. I've heard very good things about the company's customer service. Have you tried contacting them?

I would, ut I grabbed one of the pre-produciton models at SDCC. So I'm keeping it either way.

yes, in the flicking motion. as in, it opens if I just turn it upside down. and when I "flick" it, it opens before it's flicked. if that makes sense

Try sticking tape on the little copper sections that the silver parts close over near the handle? Or maybe just put something there for them to grip on a little so the metal columns are tighter on that area? Just a thought, never tried it myself because my sonic isn't like that.

Mine is loose, also. To remedy it i placed some duct tape under the silver bit where it contacts the copper near the grip. This worked pretty well, but there was slightly too much resistance and it felt a bit damaging to flick the sonic that hard.
