12" Sleestak Action Figure Project

Thanks chewbaccadoll... It stands roughly 18" & yes, I did airbrush it. I used AVES Sculting clay which hardens within hours. I'll take some close-up pics & share them.

Awesome, yeah frightzone, definitely show more pics! Great job.

As you might have imagined I bought the Sid and Marty Krofft first wave of action figures made by Palisades. They claimed to have others to follow. I never could understand why the Sleestak wasn't in the first wave! I mean, they release "Electra-Woman" but not him?! Weird. And now there are no mores waves coming out.

This , I suppose was my initial motivation to make one.

Anyone else make any Krofft show replicas? Or items relative to any of their shows? I'd love to see them.

Cool! I just saw this thread.
Your sculpt is looking great so far! :thumbsup

I used to love Land of the Lost when I was a kid, and my friend Rick who used to play the old Traveller RPG had a "lawman" character named Marshal Willanholly. :lol

Hey buddy! Glad you decided to post this after all - if anyone can help you to produce a few of these, someone here will be able to. You may have to start another thread for that though, requesting molding/casting help in the title so the right people see it.

Oh, that's right, Palisades is out of business. Guess there's no hope of the line continuing now. And I doubt someone will pick up that licensing.

There was supposed to be a Land of the Lost movie coming out. Wonder what's going on with that. I'll have to look it up. I think Will Ferrell was supposed to be in it?!

Thanks Doug! I will.

That lighted crystal stone control panel deal in the Sleestack caves fascinated me as a kid.
I wish they had spent more time on Sleestak tech episodes!

Your not the only one, as I kid I made one with marbles and a strobe light under it. The rock sides were spyaypainted tinfoil and the base was cardboard.

Still working on the sculpt (after having time outta work with a sprainged ankle) and will post pics soon.

What are some of the tools people have found most useful when adding fine detail to Super Sculpey?

I'd love some responces, every bit helps!

Ha, well I guess that would be the ultimate tribute! In fact maybe I should give ole' Seth Green a call and ask him where to send one to!
