Hi all,
I'm wondering if anybody has recently purchased the re-release of the Tenth Doctor's sonic screwdriver prop, and if so, if you could clear up a couple of things for me.
Currently I have the original one (with the UV light and interchangeable ink nibs) that plays 2 different sound effects. I saw that the prop was just re-released and I was hopeful that they made some good changes, but I'm not sure.
The reviews on Amazon are all very good, and one person said that "the light is much brighter and now there are 4 sound effects instead of 2," however, I also watched a video review on YouTube (DOCTOR WHO Tenth Doctors Sonic Screwdriver (Re-Release) Toy Review | Votesaxon07 - YouTube) where the gent said that basically it is the same exact screwdriver with the same 2 sounds, and that the only difference is that it no longer has an ink nib on the bottom (so basically it was a cop-out and if you have the original, don't bother getting the 'new' one).
Unfortunately the item description on Amazon (nor the BBC shop website) does not mention anything about either of these things.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
