Hi everyone,
I just completed my tiny 1/43 scale Flash Gordon Hawkman Rocket Cycle from the 1980 movie.
I didn't think I was going to be able to complete it because my modelmaking skills are nothing compared to many here, but I persevered with it and am happy with the results .This is the same scale as many die cast cars so I will probably put it in a display case that is designed for the 1/43 cars.
Thanks for looking.
Chris

I tried lots of different paint colours and have found that the Tamiya Color TS-17 Gloss Aluminium works really nicely. Some colours are either too "blue" tinted or too "silver". This Tamiya TS-17 Gloss Aluminium works perfectly.

That is a blast from the past. I think your perseverance paid off and your modeling skills are quite good

Great work. And it is realy unique model - probably only one in this scale and the closest to the original in the whole world right now (bold claim, I know:))

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
So, I've been playing around with the artwork for the Palitoy / Kenner inspired backing card and think I'm happy with this. Just got to create the hi-res artwork for printing now and then find somewhere to get a little bubble vacformed.

I decided to create some Corgi inspired packaging for my 1/43 scale rocket cycle. Really happy with how these turned out. Can't decide which one I prefer at the moment. When I've decided, I'll be fixing it onto the card with the bubble.

I based my poster card layout on the 1981 style of cards (as you can see from this Magnum PI version) that was released by Corgi in 1981 which is the year that I would have hoped Corgi would produce their Flash Gordon movie tie-ins but sadly, that never happened.
