I know…. I know.....It was announced quite a while back and we all know that like many GK situations... things do not always go smooth or like planned But Randy Cooper has been helping Scott with the final molds of the new 1/24 scale MOON BUS and will be seen ( with luck ) in the first quarter of 08 after the 15" Aries 1-B gets on its way this Month.
After he stumbled across a few pics of my Aurora build, Scott has asked me to design the EL lamp & LED lighting system for his Moon Bus....well to say the least I was very honored and more than willing to lend a hand.
The kit will not come with the lighting options nor will Scott provide them separately...only the pre drilled and easily accessed resin parts along with How to do it with a complete parts list. My job will be to work with the first run test parts and figure out the wire runs, battery mounting and EL lamp placement.
I am thinking of putting together the kits myself with 'optional' simplified NON soldering connections for easy assembly for those who are skittish about lighting kits. There will be plenty of room under the rear cabin floor for batteries and the EL lamp driver with a well molded almost seamless access panel just like my Aurora kit has.
I will post updates when permitted and as soon as I can.
Here is a shot of my Aurora build....this was a 4:30am poorly posted ebay deal with poor pic and a vague description...the seller mentioned a few missing parts...( there were NO missing parts, unstarted, no painting ) which lead to my lucky $128.00 winning bid back in 06.
