I love this bust. I know there are alot of Pinheads around which are great, Howards comes to mind. But the thing I dig about this one is he is understated. He's not snarling, or grimacing, just contemplating the next hook he's gonna stick in ya!
This is my first 'fleshy' paint up, helmet builds are usually my forte so I'll take any criticism glady. I made some decisions here to get the paint scheme I wanted.
Most people choose to paint Pinhead in a grey that they remember in their minds eye. However, I've based my colours on available imagery from the first 2 movies, which I believe is more 'pale egg shell grey'.
Some people also choose to paint his grid in a bloodied finish. Whereas my preference is that - those wounds have been there a long time. Hence my 'grid healed' approach.
As far as I know, this is derived from a life cast of Doug Bradley, which is what I love about it. It doesn't just look like Pinhead, it looks like the actor playing him too :thumbsup
Laughably, he has no pins yet :lol I'm sorting them tomorrow.
Thanks everyone - enjoy the pix.
