A HUGE thanks to both Mike and Philip for staying late and putting her together! And I would also like to thank Rob from Mind Gear Labs for letting us set up shop. We are forever grateful! We'll be taking professional pics in the next few days... We also have a team meeting coming up to discuss how we're going to move forward.

I see what you mean about there not being enough room to get in... although I remember reading somewhere that Peter Mayhew had hard time getting in and out... that's why there are no shots of Chewie getting into or out of the seat. I suppose it was a bit of a production that wouldn't look so good on film. Were there any shots of Han getting into/out of the seat?

Thanks! It was a long day/night getting her back together. The Dalek belongs to Wayne. He's a really good guy who just recently joined Mind Gear.

Hey Y,

It's impossible to get in and out of the seats using just the seat posts. I think there is a single shot of Mayhew getting into the seat when we first see Han and Chewie in EP IV. After they escape the Death Star and right before the TIE Fighter attack, we do see Han slip out of the chair. That's when Jessie, Scott and I realized the seat was either on tracks or a swing-away arm. You can see how the seat moves back and to the left:

I should be getting some test arms this week. I hope they work. If not, Daniel said he'll put his welding skills to work - which I definately want to watch and learn.

Definitely! I love seeing her all together. It also makes me realize how much work is ahead of us... The team is going to look over every inch of the build. We need to make some quick decisions. This next year is reving up and we need to be ready!
